Breaking industry barriers

TRANSFORMATION and innovation expert Gus Balbontin will give an insight into breaking down the barriers in industry when he addresses the Innovate Expo in Geelong next month.

The former executive director and chief technology officer at Lonely Planet, Balbontin led the brand through a major business transformation.

His presentations on the lessons learnt from decades of market disruption in the media industries focus more widely on the concepts of change, adaptability, transformation and innovation.

The expo is presented by the Geelong Manufacturing Council. Guest speakers include: Jeff Connolly, chair of the Federal Government Industry 4.0 Advanced Manufacturing Forum; David Chuter, CEO of The Innovative Manufacturing Cooperative Research Centre; and, Michelle Price, CEO of Austcyber.
