Graffiti problems: Spray it ain’t so

- PROPERTY DAMAGE BURGLARY THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE

VEHICLE damage was reported in driveways at Corio and Torquay, a front yard in Herne Hill and on the streets of Beeac, Herne Hill, Jan Juc and St Albans Park. Graffiti was reported at a business office in Geelong, a reserve in Colac, the Waurn Ponds train station as well as Geelong, Marshall and Winchelsea stations.

HOUSES were targeted in Anakie (firearms stolen), Bell Park (household electrical), East Geelong (building tools), Geelong West (cash and jewellery) and Lovely Banks (jewellery). In Norlane a retailer was targeted for consumable­s (food/drink).

AN Isuzu tray truck stolen in Bell Post Hill was recovered nearby, a Hyundai sedan taken from a house in Belmont was found in the area, while a Ford hatchback stolen from the Geelong hospital precinct was found in Geelong. A Toyota van stolen from Herne Hill was recovered in Geelong West, a Hyundai sedan taken from a front yard in Highton was found in Geelong, a Subaru wagon taken from a beach car park in Jan Juc was found at Bells Beach and a Toyota tray truck stolen from a house in Torquay was located burnt out in Breamlea. Still outstandin­g are a Kia van stolen from Armstrong Creek, a Honda sedan from Bell Park, a Suzuki motor cycle from Drysdale, a Nissan from Lara, a Mazda ute from Norlane and in a North Geelong wrecking yard where a Holden wagon, Mazda van and Suzuki hatchback were all taken during Saturday night/ Sunday morning.

NUMBER plates were targeted from vehicles in Geelong, Geelong West, Grovedale, Highton, and Norlane. Power tools were stolen from vehicles in Fyansford, a back yard in Bell Post Hill and the foreshore at Point Wilson. Mobile phones were targeted in a Norlane shopping centre car park and a car park in Corio, while cash was taken from a vehicle at a motel in Corio and in drive ways in Geelong West and East Geelong. Vehicle keys were stolen from a sports facility in Norlane and in Herne Hill, with computers and mail stolen in East Geelong.
