WE WANT YOU!

ULTIMATE CATS FAN

- TAMARA McDONALD

The search is on to find our region’s Ultimate Cats Fan. Whether you haven’t missed a game for 10 years, or have a tattoo of the club song, nominate now for your chance to win Cats finals tickets.

THE Addy is on the prowl for the region’s ultimate Geelong Cats fan.

In the lead-up to all the September finals action, we want to showcase the most passionate Cats fans.

And they’ll have the chance to win finals tickets to see the Cats in action and other prizes sure to make any fanatic purr.

Do you have years of Cats stats committed to memory, or have immortalised your devotion in tattoo ink?

Maybe you know someone who has painted their home the blue and white hoops, or hasn’t missed a match in more than a decade.

Grovedale brothers Thomas and Jacob Selig have their rooms decorated with Cats gear, and love attending any Cats event they can.

Their Mum, Nicole, said Thomas, 11, and Jacob, 7, are carrying on a proud family tradition of barracking for their beloved Cats. And the boys are “absolutely” excited for the finals.

“As they’ve gotten older they’ve got an understanding of how serious it is,” Mrs Selig said.

Among their prized possessions are albums packed with pictures of the brothers and the Cats stars they’ve met.

“The Cats must think we’re a bit stalkerish,” Mrs Selig said, laughing.

If you are someone like Thomas and Jacob who lives and breathes the blue and white hoops, nominate for your chance to be crowned the region’s Ultimate Cats Fan.

To enter, e-mail your contact details, a statement on why you’re the most dedicated Cats fan, and a photo or video with your Cats gear to catsfansearch@gmail.com

You can enter yourself, or nominate someone you know. The Addy will showcase entrants on our website geelongadvertiser.com.au in the coming weeks.

Cats fanatics will get the chance to win prizes including two tickets to the first home finals match played by the Geelong Cats and a Geelong Cats behind-thescenes tour for two people at GMHBA Stadium.
