Goal setting is not a one-size-fits-all kind of matter. Each goal is different and different approaches work for different people at different times. Expect to have to customise your experience. Something may sound good or look good on paper but, if it doesn’t work well in real life, it doesn’t work period. Better to feel good about what’s happening than to impress people you don’t even know. Keep things in perspective. Don’t let perfectionism stop you from doing your thing. You don’t have to be the best in the whole world. You only have to be the best among the current competition. You belong. But where? With the right attitude, you can belong anywhere you happen to go. But getting that attitude is a lot easier when you work up to it and practice being comfortable in your own skin. It’s easy to mistake people for experts when they are really just the ones who happen to be talking at the moment. Learn who people are and don’t mentally bestow them with powers they do not possess. VIRGO Entitlement causes people to assume other people are there to serve them. It causes discrepancies in invoices and billing. Entitlement causes relationship imbalance. Steer away from entitled people. LIBRA It’s said that you can’t help who you love. This may be true, but you can put yourself in environments that are more likely to have healthier choices available to you in all things, including love. Some of your favourite people are people you met through relationships that weren’t half as strong. Some relationships seem meant for making other relationships happen. It’s pretty challenging to settle a very active mind on the needs and wants of others. A still mind can easily be led to whatever task you need it to take on. This is one of the benefits of meditation. Close listening takes a high level of attention and intelligence and is a rarer behaviour than people think. Listen carefully and act on what you hear and you’ll have an advantage that few can claim. You’re not getting what you want out of a situation, but you’re not bitter about it. You’re curious. And if you question things and poke around a bit, you just might find a way to get what you need. Leave the long-term goals for another day. Today, you will excel with short-term assignments and situations that have a definite endpoint. You’ll love what small projects add up to.
