ULTIMATE CATS FAN

BEC’S A TRUE BLUE AND WHITE CATS FAN

- OLIVIA REED

AVID Cats fan Bec Taylor says the Geelong Football Club has helped her get through difficult times living with a permanent disability.

A dedicated supporter since she was young, Ms Taylor has even decorated her house in Cats memorabilia.

Her walls are adorned in 2007, 2009 and 2011 premiership posters, as well as photos of her favourite player, Patrick Dangerfield.

“Two of my walls in my house are decorated with that, I’ve got white wallpaper with blue stripes,” Ms Taylor said.

“I’ve got blue curtains, I’ve even got a blue couch cover.”

Ms Taylor even gets her parrot Sammie into the blue and white theme.

She spends her time fondly creating Cats-themed costumes to wear to games and proudly wears blue and white face paint for her favourite team.

“I’ve made a blue dress with cat paw prints on it and a jacket with paw prints,” Ms Taylor said.

After joining as a Geelong member 20 years ago, Ms Taylor recently joined the cheer squad. But Ms Taylor has never been to a grand final the Cats have won.

“I’ve been to a couple of losing grand finals, I really would love to go if they get in this year,” she said. “It would be a dream come true for me.”
