CATS SHOULD WIN MORE THAN THE DRESS-UP COMP

HOW great it was to see those wacky Cats dressed up in their wonderful dressage (GA 26/9). Surely candidates for the famous red carpet!

But wait! Last year we raved about their outfits but suggested their time may have been better spent gaining success at the MCG. Remember? That’s where they have the Grand Final.

Well, they’ve done it again. They’ve conned us loyal, paid-up members by again winning the dressup but losing what really counts — the premiership flag. They had the team and the No.1 position on the ladder but also the top two dunces — a full-forward yet to mature and a coach unable to make vital changes.

Well done boys. What are you wearing next year to celebrate?

RECORD SHOWS IT’S TIME FOR CHRIS SCOTT TO RESIGN

I HEARD the interview with Chris Scott and his comments about sore players with interest.

I’m not saying this because I don’t like Chris Scott as Geelong Football Club coach, which I don’t, but players being sore does fall straight at the coach because in the end it is the coach who is responsible for players playing too many games and thus ending up sore in the last games of the season.

As for Gary Ablett, he should have played less games, again this is in Chris Scott’s lap, it is Chis Scott’s ultimate responsibility on player management and the resting.

Thus the responsibility for Geelong’s poor finals result, AGAIN, falls right in Chris Scott’s lap.

Frankly I don’t care about Chris Scott or the Geelong Football Club anymore, I will become a GWS supporter until Chris Scott is gone.

I am not the only GFC supporter who disapproves of the way the team is being coached by Chris Scott, a lot of Cats supporters blame him for the now all-too-often dismal Geelong finals failure.

Four finals wins in 15 games since 2012 has to be considered performing badly, no matter what the code. So Chris Scott should resign.

If a premier league soccer team coach had a similar record, he would be lucky to get a gig coaching a 6th division amateur team.

Chris Scott certainly talks the talk to defend himself but he does not walk the walk when it is important.

I have no more to say about Geelong coach Chris Scott other to say, for the good of the Geelong Football Club, he should resign.

BABIES BORN HERE ARE NOT AUTOMATICALLY CITIZENS

MANY people sadly seem to be laboring under the illusion that all children born in Australia are automatically Australian citizens. They are not.

Our Immigration Act requires that at least one of the parents must be an Australian citizen or a permanent resident for this to apply. End of story. If this policy was not in place, the mind boggles at how many pregnant women from all over the world might descend on our shores — for a better life at taxpayer expense.

Or at how many people seeking asylum might co-habit while their applications are being processed.

The current controversial Sri Lankan family which has been ruled ineligible for asylum, on any number of occasions, is an example.

TEXT TALK

THE Tigers were soooo . . . good their winning grand final margin was only five goals less than the record held by the Cats in 2007.

Cats’ record safe

IT was pretty obvious that it should have been a Cats v Giants grand final but thanks to the coaching incompetence of you know who, it appears a Tigers dynasty has been created.
