It comes hot on the heels of a record $6.75 million sale of another riverfront property down the road last year.
RT Edgar, Barwon Heads, agent Peter Molloy said opportunities to secure properties on the Barwon River were rare.
“Last year a riverfront property came up and that was the first time in years,” Mr Molloy said. “From what I know, this will be the last one for a while.”
He said the property, which has the house and garden on separate titles, paved the way for a future subdivision in a tightly held pocket of Barwon Heads.

“You look straight out over the water, it’s pretty spectacular,” Mr Molloy said.

“We will see what the interest is like but I would think there might be someone who buys it and sells off the block.”

The four-bedroom house, designed by Neil Clerehan, traded hands for $6.75 million within weeks of going on sale.
