Lots to like about estate

- PETER FARAGO

THE first lots in a new residential estate in Geelong’s northern suburbs have hit the market.

Bisinella Developments’ Wattle Grove estate on a 8.9ha property adjacent to Beckley Park in Corio will provide 102 house lots when completed.

The Broderick Rd estate will offer blocks ranging from 340sq m to 895sq m, and a 4000sq m park with a playground and wetlands.

The first stage will include 20 lots from 403sq m to 895sq m. Prices will range from $269,000 to $335,000. Construction of the estate is expected to start by September, with completion next February.

Wattle Grove is close to Aldi, a chemist, gym and the Geelong Gate Homemaker Centre, and within 10 minutes of train stations at Corio and Lara.

It will feature landscaped reserves and wetlands interwoven with the Ted Wilson trail, which follows the alignment of the Geelong Ring Road to

Hamlyn Heights, Fyansford and beyond.

The developer is also encouraging homebuyers to think green, offering a $1000 rebate to buyers who purchase a Wattle Grove lot and install solar panels to their house within three months of construction.

Bisinella secured the Corio site for $6.85 million at auction in 2019.

Director Richard Bisinella said he expected the location would make Wattle Grove popular with Geelong and Melbourne residents.

Meanwhile, new blocks at an ICD Property estate that set record land prices have been released overlooking Fyansford.

The latest Pinnacle release in the Gen Fyansford development offers 12 lots in Herne Hill priced from $358,000 to $858,000.

Blocks range in size from 420sq m to 1120sq m.

The first stage in the Pinnacle release, located in Newtown, broke sales records, when two blocks sold at auction for more than $857,000 and $900,000 respectively.

Gen Fyansford agent Brett Thompson said the views and location would make it a desirable place to live.

“Given its location on the border to prestigious Newtown, as well as a breezy sevenminute commute to Geelong’s CBD and waterfront, this latest release really stands as the final opportunity to secure one of these limited lots,” he said.
