FORD FOCUS RETURNS TO CITY

-

THE largest gathering of Ford vehicles in Australia will be back — bigger than ever — to celebrate its 30th anniversary in Geelong.

All Ford Day director Scott Pigdon said the event, with a new home at Eastern Park on Sunday, April 18, was set to honour and highlight the rich history of the Ford Motor Company in Geelong that spans more than 90 years.

“The world has changed drastically since last year’s event and there was a lot of uncertainty regarding whether we’d be able to go forward,” Mr Pigdon said.

“Thanks to the dedication of our team of organisers, volunteers, local council and the state government, we are able to make sure All Ford Day can celebrate its 30th birthday and put on a great show for the Geelong community.”

The Ford Motor Company has been involved as the major partner of All Ford Day since its inception in 1991, and each year more than 1200 vehicles on display document Ford’s evolution from the Model T to the Mustang and everything in-between.

Ford Australia and New Zealand president and chief executive Andrew Birkic said the company was always proud to be a part of the event, especially on its 30th anniversary.

“Each year, All Ford Day captures everything Ford is about — passion, fun, friends and family — and we can’t wait to celebrate with the thousands of fans who’ll be there to display their pride and joy and to admire the vehicles on display,” Mr Birkic said.

Both funny and disarming, as only the Coen brothers filmmaking team (No Country For Old Men) can do it. Jerry (William H. Macy) has cooked up a wonky get-rich-quick scheme involving the abduction of his wife. However, Jerry’s bumbling efforts to cover his tracks only further rouses the suspicion of a pregnant police chief named Marge (an Oscar-winning display from McDormand).
