LOCALS HELP SPRAY AWAY THE VIRUS
A LOCAL business that has developed a disinfectant to combat Covid is looking to give back in the fight against the virus.
Mediclear is co-owned by Sullivan Stapleton, an actor known for roles in films including Animal Kingdom, Josh Paull, who owns First Pick Services, and Frankie Whitehead, who owns Vision Facility Services.
Mr Paull said Mediclear started around the beginning of the Covid pandemic and had begun distributing product in recent months.
Mediclear’s Surface Defence solution has been specifically developed to kill germs and viruses, including Covid-19. The solution has been developed and packed in Torquay, and the biodegradable product is packaged in recyclable containers.
While it is a hospital grade disinfectant, it is also suitable as a general purpose cleaner in commercial cleaning situations and domestic households.
It can be used to clean floors, benches, office desks, seats, bathrooms, walls, and a large variety of other hard surfaces including glass, timber, concrete, plastic, ceramic, painted walls and stainless steel.
To do its part in supporting mental health, Mediclear is donating 5 per cent of profits from all online sales to the One in Five mental health organisation.
Mediclear’s Surface Defence solution has been included on the Australian Register of Therapeutic
Goods as a hospital-grade disinfectant that kills the Covid-19 virus and other germs.
Mr Paull said the product was the result of the business working to stop the spread of Covid at the surface level.
“Anything we can do to help we will,” he said.
Mediclear Surface Defence comes in 750ml spray bottles and five-litre refill bulk containers.
Mediclear is currently offering local Geelong and Surf Coast businesses two free-of-charge 750ml bottles of Mediclear Surface Defence.
