AS the region looks to emerge from effects of the pandemic, employment and recruitment leader gforce is helping locals position for the future.
With new chief executive Keith Baillie at the helm, the gforce Group – consisting of gforce Employment Solutions, People@Work and EGF Solutions – has come together as one, under the new banner of gforce employment + recruitment.
The united recruitment specialist now has an even stronger community focus and a reaffirmed commitment as a for purpose organisation to best support communities with pandemic recovery and to build a successful future.

Bringing the group together with a single identity has helped the organisation provide a multifaceted approach to employment as the Geelong region prepares for unprecedented growth.
The new branding is supported by a formally endorsed community framework and cements gforce’s local commitment and its customer experience while ensuring the organisation provides meaningful and quality services to Victorian communities.
“In order to fulfil our purpose, ‘to help people achieve the benefits of employment’, it is crucial that we are genuinely part of the communities we serve,” Baillie emphasises. “Our community framework is public and outlines principles and commitments to communities that guide our work.”
The organisation has been at the forefront of the pandemic recovery in which the Geelong region is well positioned, with demand for jobs locally in recent months outpacing previous years.
Careers in health, medical and pharmaceutical remain in high demand locally as the region looks to transition from Covid, while there continues to be steady demand for workers in the trades and services and construction industries.
Gforce was established as the Geelong and District Group Apprentices almost 40 years ago as a not-for-profit group training organisation with the initial purpose of delivering apprenticeship services to youth in Geelong’s northern suburbs. Today the organisation has grown into a full-service employment and recruitment specialist that supports local business and positive social outcomes for people and communities throughout Victoria.
