Family home fundraiser

- Rebecca Thompson

CONSTRUCTION has finished on a premium family home in Point Lonsdale to support not-for-profit charity Cottage by the Sea.

Boutique Homes has partnered with developer Moremac to build the house at 24 Coquina Drive, which will be auctioned this month, with 100 per cent of the proceeds from the sale going directly to the charity.

The four-bedroom, twobathroom house, located in The Point Estate, is now open for private inspections, and will go under the hammer on January 22, at 12.30pm.

It has been listed with price hopes of $1.35m to $1.45m.

Cottage by the Sea chief executive Adam Wake says the funds raised will support the expansion of the Riptide building in Queenscliff, to continue accommodating camp groups and families.

“Boutique Homes has ensured we have been part of every stage of the building of this incredible home, and we can’t wait to see what happens at the auction,” Mr Wake said.

The light-filled residence took 6½ months to build, with the help of more than 45 supporting partners.

It features neutral tones and textures, a theatre room, home office and lush outdoor entertainment zone with fireplace.

Fletchers Queenscliff agent James Gladman has the listing, and said the place would suit families keen to enjoy a peaceful, luxury lifestyle on the coast.

“With raked ceilings and a large open living area to complement a modern kitchen, the home offers contemporary living, with picturesque water and park views in an already established community,” Mr Gladman said.

The 539sq m property is set near the Bellarine Highway, close to amenities and a 30-minute drive to Geelong.
