GETAWAYS: GOLF TRAVEL
Fast cars, sunshine and golf on the Gold Coast. Doesn’t that sound like the makings of one special trip?
The Supercars Championship returns to Surfers Paradise this October for the Vodafone Gold Coast 600 – and Signature Golf Tours has the perfect package to get you trackside and on to some of the best courses the region has to offer.
The tour runs between October 24 and October 28 and includes four nights’ accommodation at Mantra On View Surfers Paradise – which is within walking distance of the Surfers Paradise Street Circuit – as well as two rounds of golf at RACV Royal Pines Resort and Lakelands Golf Club in motorised carts.
Royal Pines, host of the Australian PGA Championship, boasts 27 holes and was renovated by Graham Marsh between 2014 and 2015. Its members and guests enjoy quality playing surfaces and have all aspects of their games examined.
Lakelands, meanwhile, was Jack Nicklaus’ first signature golf course in Australia when it opened in 1997 and is one of the best-conditioned layouts in the country. It was ranked No.82 in Golf Australia’s Top-100 Courses for 2018.
Packages for the Gold Coast V8 Supercars Weekend start at $695 per person, twin share and include all ground transfers.
Supercars tickets are not included due to the wide range of ticketing options available. Signature Golf Tours says it wants its clients to get the best tickets to suit your group.
