GETAWAYS: GOLF TRAVEL

-

Picture traveling by helicopter between Links Lady Bay Resort – one of South Australia’s most picturesque courses – and the multi-awardwinning d’Arenberg Cube winery and restaurant. How cool would that be?

Golf Explorer is offering that experience with its Adelaide Gourmet Heli-Golf Day, which includes three stunning helicopter rides over the Fleurieu Peninsula and McLaren Vale wine region.

Links Lady Bay – ranked No.70 in Golf Australia’s list of Top-100 Courses – opened in 2000 and was designed by Jack Newton, Graeme Grant and John Spencer. The playing surfaces are beautifully presented, while the strategic design is enjoyed by everyone from beginners to seasoned professionals.

The d’Arenberg Cube is one of Australia’s quirkiest and most highly-awarded winery restaurants. Inspired by the complexities and puzzles of winemaking, Chester Osborn created the five-level, cube-shaped building where you can take in the panoramic views across McLaren Vale and experience premium dining and wine-tasting.

Starting from $1,598 per person, Golf Explorer clients will be picked up from their hotels in private cars and transferred to Adelaide Airport.

The first helicopter flight takes guests to Links Lady Bay for breakfast and 18 holes, before the next 13-minute flight travels to the d’Arenberg Cube, for an 11-course degustation lunch with paired wine. The third and final helicopter experience is back to Adelaide Airport for private hotel transfers. Prices are based on four people travelling. Prices for smaller groups are available on request.
