Train a power sequence

-

CHRIS RYAN STEP 1

Start with feet together Address the ball normally – then pull your lead foot back against your trail foot so the ankles touch. Make a three-quarter backswing from this position. STEP 2

Plant the lead foot Start your downswing by replanting your lead foot back to its original address position. Make the move purposeful and aggressive, almost a stamp. Your lower body needs to lead your upper half into impact, and by getting some early momentum into your legs, knees and hips, this drill helps you feel and train that ideal power sequence.
