Point the way to better plane

Draw a bold arrow on a pad and hold it at arm’s length opposite your chest, the arrow pointing vertically upwards and facing you. Keeping the pad in front of you, take your regular posture. Swing the pad back as if it was your club, keeping your focus on the arrow. Check its length is around the same angle as your shoulders, pointing up through your right shoulder. This lets you rehearse an effective angle on which to swing the club.
