FEEL THE DIFFERENCE

Jim Kronus has been refinishing and refurbishing golf clubs for Tour players, celebrities and club golfers alike for over 40 years. And now the owner of The Iron Factory has turned his skills to creating a classically designed and crafted range of wedges.

Forged from 1025 steel billets, the Kronus Golf JK-1 series wedges are made in the United States to exacting standards to offer outstanding feel, looks and performance.

Featuring Kronus’ renowned ‘Tour Chrome’ finish, the wedges are now available through an Australian distributor, allowing local golfers to benefit from the club builder’s years of expertise and knowledge.

Designed to remind golfers of classic forged wedges from the past, the JK-1 wedges are built without gimmicks and with feel as a primary performance characteristic, with Kronus confident of putting his own name, one that is widely respected in the industry, on the model. RRP: $259 (each); $439 (two); $579 (three). Contact: To learn more about Kronus wedges and to order, email paulkerin1@hotmail.com or call 0419 551 509.

BUSHNELL ADDS BITE

Bushnell has further expanded its line of laser rangefinders, already the No.1 choice among PGA Tour players, with the new Tour V5 and Tour V5 Shift.

Designed to combine a perfect size that sits comfortably in players’ hands with fast and accurate readings, as well as the addition of the company’s ‘Visual JOLT’ technology, the Tour V5 and Shift – featuring the ability to toggle on and off measurements factoring in slope with an improved algorithm – also incorporate Bushnell’s extremely convenient ‘BITE’ technology.

Allowing golfers to magnetically attach their rangefinder to the arm of a cart without the need for any aftermarket accessories, the BITE technology and Visual JOLT are the standout improvements to the V5. Vibrating and showing a red flashing ring on the display when the ‘PinSeeker’ technology has locked onto the flag, the new JOLT capabilities ensure there is no questioning whether you have hit the target and have the correct distance to the pin, which are accurate to within one metre.

A brighter display with 6x magnification means the Tour V5 models are useable by all and the rainproof design offers piece of mind and the ability to play your best golf in any conditions. RRP: $549 (Tour V5); $649 (Tour V5 Shift). Contact: To find out more, including your nearest stockist, visit www.championsports.com.au or call (08) 8268 5841.

XXIO has built its reputation on technologically-driven equipment making golf easier for players with a moderate swing speed. The new Eleven iron models continue the company’s mission through lightweight performance. Featuring a double undercut cavity construction, the new irons – offered for both men and women – deliver increased ball speed across a larger area of the face. Two slots are cut into the body of each iron behind the clubface, allowing for greater flexibility at impact to create more speed and distance. Like the woods of the same name, the Eleven irons utilise XXIO’s ‘Weight Plus’ technology, which sees brass and rubber weights placed in the butt end of the shaft to raise the balance point and assist in achieving a more consistent position at the top of the backswing and greater clubhead speed. RRP: $329 per iron (graphite); $299 per iron (steel). Contact: For more information and to see the entire XXIO range, go to www.xxio.com.au or phone 1800 222 227.
