I have recently become addicted to everything natural and simple. From houses to food, and your magazine seems to have it all. I love your recent article on El Salvador and the way your magazine captures all the beauty of the area. Your content is refreshing and totally inspirational to read on a Sunday afternoon with tea. Keep it up, I will keep reading as long as you keep making people inspired by your beautiful content. Ruby Macomber
Thank you for including “behindthebarcode. org.au” in your ‘Good stuff’ column in the last issue. I downloaded the ethical fashion report and was quite amazed at the diversity of different companies’ commitment to making ethical improvements – from trying, to really not caring at all! I was also interested in the estimate that for workers to receive a living wage, the cost to the consumer would only be somewhere like 1-7 per cent. Anyway, overall it seems more and more companies are beginning to place importance on knowing material sources and suppliers, and hopefully, thanks to magazines that care (like
Good), expectation and demand for ethically-produced clothing will become the norm! Catherine Graham
@novaselandia enjoying the first issue of my subscription on a Saturday morning. I don’t know how I had never read the magazine before. It’s awesome. Thanks so much for the great work you guys do. Kamilla Camilo (via Twitter)
I generally don’t buy magazines because, generally speaking, they offer me nothing of worth and I barely sit down long enough to read one. Except for Good. The only magazine that I can read cover to cover, and where even the adverts are aligned with the ethos of the magazine – avoiding the usual grating of ‘environmental activist meets consumerism’ scenario. But I thought you’d gone! I no longer found you in the supermarket, so I assumed the worst. Today, I popped into the newsagent on the corner of the building where I work and there you were, grinning at me from the shelf. So, over a hearty bowl of pumpkin soup, I’ve reminded myself how it was that I have lost myself in your pages in the past. I’m glad I’m back – because it seems you weren’t the one who was gone after all!
