Dear Good... it was love at first sight. I was lying poolside with a cocktail in hand thinking to myself ‘life is good’ and spotted my sister reading Good. I impatiently waited for my turn to read it. An inspiring read. I love learning about sustainable living practices and ethical companies doing their bit for our planet. Your magazine is filled with feel good gorgeousness! And the paper is so lovely to touch. Please can you consider including a crossword? Simone, Christchurch
I have just received my first copy of Good in the post as a result of a subscription gifted to me by a lovely friend. As a mother of three (now adult) children, and a grandmother of three gorgeous pre-schoolers, it is heartening to see the values that we have always encouraged in our family, being promoted on the pages of your magazine. It is a delight to turn the pages and enjoy the layout, presentation and content that reflects these values in today’s world - the wholesomeness and mindfulness - or mindlessness as in Dr Alice Boyes’ lovely piece; are becoming more prevalent in small and rural communities today. Let us continue to practice and promote these values in our daily lives with our families, friends and neighbours and keep making our country a better place to be. Sharon Harper
Good on you, Good, for featuring other than a size 8 to 10 on the cover of your [May/June] edition. Like Chrissy and Madi, I also struggled with body image, and only finding models that conformed to the traditional beauty standards and ideals on the covers of ordinary magazines didn’t make it any better. We’re smart enough to change the way we eat, groom and dress; we should also be able to change the way we appreciate and love ourselves. Now that would be extraordinarily Good, wouldn’t it? On Mother’s Day I was given a copy of Good magazine from my daughter. I raved about the beautiful presentation and the contents, many of which I could personally relate to. Today, on my birthday, to my wonderful surprise, I received a voucher subscription which said: “Happy birthday, we love you and you are GOOD.” Thank you to my daughter and the Good team. Janice Love
I was so pleased to see Dole pineapple have the green frog certification. They have always been a good price and blended they make a lovely sandwich spread, popular with children. I also add pineapple to meat dishes to provide alkalinity. Megan Simmonds
