As always: lots of good things in Issue 61 of Good! I really like Rachel Khoo’s approach to food, so the Scandi recipes in From Sweden with Love were a real treat and a great ‘taste’ of nice things to come in her latest cookbook The Little Swedish Kitchen. These recipes really are unusual – and yet fairly simple to make and they will be wholesome to eat. But the little chestnut of truth on the last page of the magazine is the ‘Good Thought’ I’d most like to share with all social media users: “If you can’t say it to someone’s face, don’t say it online.” Applying that kindly philosophy would save a lot of unnecessary pain!

Dear team Good, thank you. For arriving in my letter box just when I need reminding that to feel better and to be happier is my responsibility. My life these past two and a half years has been filled with a ridiculous amount of trials, in many areas of my life. So much so I’ve joked that my life could be made into a TV soap. But, although these trials were all out of my control, I can’t keep feeling sorry for myself. I have to make changes, no matter how small. Your magazine is a true ‘pick me up.’ It sure has done me ‘Good’. #GettingBackToMe. Thank you, and bless. Holly Nissen
I want to comment on how helpful your magazine articles are to me. Good May/June’s textile report was spot on. I have always worn natural fibres myself and avoided polyester when I can. And ‘Learning the secret: visualising what you want can lead to extraordinary things’ is something that I have also done. Your ‘Good Thought’ was brilliant this month too!
