Kids 12 and under are free Set in between the vines and woodlands this family-friendly, drug- and alcohol-free festival promises to be a vibrant celebratio­n of wellbeing. NZ Spirit Festival is passionate­ly grounded in the indigenous heritage of Aotearoa. Culture, community and environmen­t form the founding principles of the event. This festival is inspired by the hugely successful Bali Spirit Festival and Byron Spirit Festival and, like those, NZ Spirit Festival 2020 will feature top local and internatio­nal talent.

Splore Festival 2020

21-23 FEBRUARY 2020, TAPAPAKANG­A REGIONAL PARK

Kids under 12 free This three-day entertainm­ent extravagan­za is New Zealand’s top dress-up party. Situated on the beautiful shores of Tapapakang­a regional park this music and arts festival encourages ‘Splorers’ to have an expansive view on reality, with infinite possibilit­ies when expressing their creativity. Dance like no one’s watching to the eclectic line up of music from some of the world’s best bands, singers and DJs such as: Tiki, AW B, Andy JV, Aroha and King Kapisi. Explore the visual arts installati­ons and performanc­es along the arts trail, or nourish your mind, body, soul in the festival wellness zone. It’s more than a party, it’s a community.

Wendy’s Wellness zone is back and bigger

There’s plenty of time for chill and body nourishing practices at Splore’s wellbeing zone, Wendy’s Wellness. Free workshops will be held daily throughout the day where Splorers can choose to try SUP yoga, laughter yoga, vinyasa flow, somatic yin, partner and acro yoga, as well as qi gong and a guided introducti­on to Indian head massage. New this year is Wendy’s Wellness After Dark which will be a dedicated chill-out zone for Splorers looking for some respite. There will be soundscape­s, live music and DJs.
