I received a Good subscription for Christmas last year. I was overjoyed to find the latest issue in my mailbox last week, being a little unsure I would receive it in this current climate. Taking the time out to read your magazine is a lovely escape for me. Thank you. Lisa Lowe

Just wanted to say thanks for a great issue. It was wonderful to be able to sit down and enjoy reading about normal life (and nothing COVID-19 related) for a bit... and a great way to enjoy a break and some me time with two children at home. The five-minute dance party life hack and the ‘Four Pillars of Wellbeing’ I found particularly timely and I can’t wait to try the recipe for Ragout on Pappardelle. Thanks again. Emma Bell

My partner recently renewed our Good subscription and I’m so pleased, it’s been a breath of fresh air. I really enjoyed the article about Matariki and love how the article challenges how our seasons work in NZ and how they are based on the northern hemisphere’s way of thinking. I really hope that we are out of isolation during Matariki and that we can celebrate the moon of Whiro. I really hope that a silver lining from COVID-19 will be that Kiwis spend more time in our own backyard and get to appreciate more of our native culture. M Meade

What a better time than lockdown to get my Good mag in the mailbox. The article ‘Being child-free’ resonated in my soul. I have been blessed with friends that shared their children with me, there is honestly no greater gift. People need to think before passing judgement or comment on child-free women as every one does hurt, no matter how it is meant. Thank you for a wonderful open frank article. Caroline Senior

My copy arrived in the mail this morning! What a treat amongst all the crazy that COVID-19 is creating. It made me drag out a pile of cards and send one to each of my aunts and other special people in my life – to get something in the post was such a pleasure! The ‘Good Thought’ was so appropriate, especially that “it’s ok to still enjoy the good things even when it feels like the whole world is falling apart” – there is a silver lining we all need to find and embrace. I am a nurse and today I felt scared, exhausted, overworked and for the first time ever wished I had a different job. Once home the first smile of my day appeared, my Good magazine had arrived. I made a cup of tea and spent the night reading and filling in the puzzle. My mind gradually wandered away from work. Thank you so much for providing me with time-out material. I felt refreshed and loved every page. Kia Kaha during these difficult times. Hannah

Hey team, super excited to have discovered your magazine. The cover drew me to your magazine and a quick flick through had me absolutely sold. I am super excited to be able to sit in my favourite corner with the fire going, a freshly made mocha and this awesome magazine to get me through this last week of Level 4. Sounds like heaven to me. Jess

Kia Ora. Loving your magazine. But the information about the piwakawaka isn’t completely correct in ‘Messages from Birds’ (issue 68). An elder told me the bird is bringing messages from those past, when it comes inside. Not the harbinger of death. Can you please check this information. Deb Frame

From the writer: she “believes it brings death not in the literal term but death to many things including parts of old parts of ourselves”.
