I received my copy and signed up at the Go Green Expo in Christchurch for the subscription. I’ve bought it in the past but since living overseas I forgot about Good! I like the recipe section and especially that some can easily be made vegan. The short articles with tips are excellent too. Right down to the paper the magazine is great – and it’s NZ-made. Jordi

I absolutely adored issue 68. This has been a year of unexpected events, not least the lockdown. During Level 4, as I fretted about the future, I walked for hours on end around peaceful Akaroa Harbour. Each day the plentiful kererū and kōtare caught my attention. So when I came across the ‘Messages from the Birds’ feature I was filled with a sense of serendipity. From then each time I saw a kererū I reminded myself that I am still surrounded by abundance. Each kōtare reassured me that I would know how to make the best of that abundance when the time was right. I loved the illustrations so much that I framed the page and put it on my bedside table! Thank you! Jen

My mother-in-law got me a subscription for Good.

I have enjoyed reading issue 68 with a coffee, my bed socks and child-free. I love finding new bodycare ranges that don’t have any nasties and reading how much good there still is in the world is just so great. Thank you for this relaxing time! Hayley Aitken

I initially started buying Good magazine during my grocery shopping or visits to the post shop. Then several years ago I bought my subscription and just kept renewing it yearly until this year when my subscription ran out and then with Covid I kind of just didn’t get the subscription going. I recently had spine surgery and when my husband came to visit me, he brought a huge bunch of flowers and a Good magazine. Needless to say I was thrilled even though I didn’t feel like reading much at that time but I was happy glancing at the pages. It made me also realise what little things my husband notices and then they turn out to be the big things. So needless to say I’m going to get my subscription ASAP. By the way I have kept every single one of the magazines right from the start. Seema.

Happy 12th birthday Good. I’ve enjoyed your magazine from the start and it’s given me many insights into how I can be a better producer and consumer. I have made many changes to my lifestyle thanks to articles in your magazine and have also managed to convince my friends, whānau and colleagues to make a few positive planet changes as well. My only question is why don’t you call yourselves “Great”? I share the magazine’s title as a surname and have always felt a little miffed by the status of the word good. Thanks again for a wonderful magazine. Jess Good

When reading issue 69 I came across the ‘Wildlife Works’ article where impact photographer Filip Agoo documents how halting deforestation in the Congo Basin is making a difference. I was very taken with the description and photos of the people and their way of life. Though dealing with much hardship, they strive to live in a way that respects the environment. Their view of life is so different to the western world in terms of a life of simplicity. Thanks for this insight. A Wood
