Hammer time

The question, really, is why not open a bar named for Thor’s hammer?

Or at least it is at Mjølner, the latest bar-eatery from Eau de Vie impresario (and bona fide Norwegian; see page 61) Sven Almenning. Beyond the goofy set-dressing (drinks in horns, whisky in hammers, cutlery that would do a Viking berserker proud) you’ll also find impressive cocktails and well-executed (if mostly fairly heavy-leaning) food.
