Dear Friends

The months seem to pass so quickly – Easter has passed and May is upon us and Christ­mas will be with us soon. I say this with­out wish­ing 2017 away but more as a lit­tle prompt for us all to be mind­ful of time and how quickly it passes. I have been re­minded again about the beauty of ap­pre­ci­at­ing mo­ments — the art of be­ing mind­ful. And this does not mean just sit­ting in a still quiet place to med­i­tate. The great news is we can be mind­ful dur­ing our ev­ery­day life. Per­haps you paint, then be­come lost in ev­ery sin­gle brush stroke. Per­haps when you go for a walk, you en­joy the mo­ment, the breeze on your face, the chirp­ing of the birds and the move­ment of the trees. Even while you are sit­ting in sta­tion­ary traf­fic, be mind­ful of your breath­ing, the very air pro­vid­ing you es­sen­tials for life. It’s in the art of slow­ing down that we truly start to live and trea­sure the mo­ments. De­cide not to live your life so quickly that it’s sim­ply over in a blink. A few ex­cit­ing things that have been hap­pen­ing… last month we pub­lished the lat­est book in The Health Spe­cial­ists’ Series, en­ti­tled Happy, Healthy Nu­tri­tion and re­ceived Ama­zon #1 sta­tus as did the first eBook Happy, Healthy Kids. By the time you read this two more eBooks in the series will have been pub­lished on Ama­zon: Happy, Healthy Fit­ness and Happy, Healthy In­ti­macy. I hope you are en­joy­ing the series. Fi­nally, as al­ways, it’s my plea­sure to pre­sent an­other out­stand­ing issue of Great Health Guide TM mag­a­zine. Along with some ex­cel­lent ar­ti­cles, we fea­ture ex­er­cise, specif­i­cally in ‘Start­ing a Pro­gram’ and ‘Ex­er­cis­ing at Home’. Also, ar­ti­cles from our phys­io­ther­a­pists dis­cussing ‘Young Chil­dren and Con­tact Sports’ and ‘Deal­ing with Back Pain’.
