We’re firmly into Eric Johnson territory here with this a minor Pentatonic lick, using a more linear three-notes-per-string approach than the previous examples. You can still trace shapes 3, 2 and 1 descending though. after a brief pause for breath, we take a similar approach to the C minor Pentatonic, encompassing shapes 1, 2 and 5. This lick alone offers hundreds of possibilities for freshening up those tired ‘routine’ licks, positioning you alongside EJ and Joe Bonamassa!
