Use rest stroke to warm up the melody wherever possible, and always play free stroke on the accompaniment. At bar 35 we reach the new melody in F. The combination of stretchy chord shapes, barres and slurs makes this section much more difficult. If you’re struggling, leave out the grace notes at first and be aware that you don’t need to hold down a barre as much as you may think; in bar 35 the barre only needs to be pressed down on beats 3 and 4. You can then lose it on beat 2 of bar 36. Relax your fretting hand in between barres to help it regain strength. In bar 37 a barre is only needed on beats 3 and 4.
