This riff is in dropped D tuning and starts with an F powerchord at the 3rd fret. Play the powerchord with a first-finger barre on the lowest two strings, then lift off your finger to play the low D rhythm with palm-muting. Repeat the riff three times then add a variation in the fourth bar using pull-offs.
