Pick with down­strokes through­out for a con­sis­tent tone, but for the e notes1, at the 7th fret, fifth string touch the string with the side of your thum4b as you pick to pro­duce a pinched har­monic. Add a typ­i­cal tone-wide heavy rock vi­brato to make the note sing. if there’s a mon­i­tor nearby you know where to put your right foot!
