be­fore pro­gress­ing to shift­ing to d Melodic Mi­nor in bars 5 and 6 (d-e-F-G-a-B-C#). The de­scend­ing chro­matic figure from B to G# in bars 7 and 8 re­lates to the un­der­ly­ing e7 and cor­re­sponds with its 5th and ma­jor 3rd re­spec­tively.
