One con­cept that is par­tic­u­larly well-suited to tap­ping is the poly­chord - a com­bi­na­tion of two chords to form a new chord. The ex­am­ple starts with the root and 5th of E played in the fret­ting hand, while the pick­ing hand taps a B

Ma­jor triad. If you com­bine the notes of e and B chords they cre­ate emaj9 chord (here the 3rd of e is not played, so the cor­rect name would be ema­j7­sus2). We then move to a re­peated 16th note pat­tern that out­lines a chord se­quence.
