Get the Tone

As this is a scale-based lesson any guitar sound will work. But it makes sense when learning new things not to use heavy distortion, tons of delay and other effects. While these may sound great once you’re fully up to speed with the technique, there’s a danger they’ll mask poor execution at this stage. So go for a warm neck pickup tone with light delay or reverb.
