The Price iS righT?

I don’t normally write into magazines but felt moved to put pen to paper this month. On a recent business trip, I took a copy of Guitarist with me – because sitting for hours in airport lounges gives me time to really get into all the articles. So why write? In short, the Taylor 814CE DLX – come on people, really? How can any multinational, turning out a range of guitars, with a production-line approach, justify a price tag of over five grand? Are we that gullible? Don’t get me wrong, I like Taylor guitars and I am lucky enough to own two, but someone has got to tell guitar companies we are not bottomless pits of money.
