A strong comeback for Bumblefoot and co Art Of Anarchy is Ron ‘Bumblefoot’ Thal on guitar, Disturbed bassist John Moyer and founding twins Jon and Vince Votta (guitar, drums), but they got off to a shaky start with their self-titled debut with vocalist Scott Weiland in 2015, who had already distanced himself from the project before his death that year. Hooking up with former Creed man Scott Stapp has got them back on track. This is consistently catchy hard rock – the lead approaches from Votta and Thal always serve the song. The standout 80s anthem feel of No Surrender features a melodic twin lead, Somber includes Thal’s feelsome breaks, and Won’t Let You Down’s wouldn’t sound out of place in Slash’s hands.
