TesseracT

Sublime sounds from tech-metal masters For all the bands influenced by the low-end, palm-muted, syncopated riffing style of Meshuggah, TesseracT are arguably the ones who’ve most ably crafted a unique vision, pairing intelligent songwriting with technical heaviness. Though lacking some of the immediacy of predecessor Polaris, the lush expanses of Juno and Mirror Image soon pull you in with the vocals of Dan Tompkins on Orbital complementing the kaleidoscope of planes conjured by the waves of guitar. Like the best prog behemoths of yesteryear, this is music that’s as musically accomplished as it is effective fuel for the imagination. [AR] Standout track: Orbital For fans of: Meshuggah, Radiohead, Tool
