Multiple clones, whole berries wild-fermented in 3-tonne open stainless steel fermenters, matured in French oak (25% new) for 6 months. A pinot made equally in the vineyard and the winery. A rose petal and spice bouquet, the precise palate replete with red and black cherry fruit decorated with fine, savoury/earthy tannins running through to a long finish. The price is barely believable. 14% alc.

It’s as much about the quality of the aged wine as it is about how the wine ended up in our cellar – the friendships, travels, laughs and tears that have played a part in that bottle being in the rack. And then when we can share both the wine and the stories behind them, that’s when good old wine becomes superb old wine.
