Small batch ferments and then French oak matured (40% new) for 18 months. A selection of the best barrels only included in the final blend. Solid, chunky, dusty cabernet, which is clearly going to do well in the cellar. Plenty of familiar varietal elements all through, with blackcurrant, mint, herb and just a touch of liquorice. Oak seems to play its part with a cedary, chocolate overlay, and the tannins, while quite firm are well in tune with the wine overall. 14.5% alc
