Partial maturation in French oak emphasises the ability of the Yarra Valley to achieve high-quality chardonnay with minimal winery inputs, and to pick while the grapes retain maximum freshness and flavour, grapefruit, melon and apple all in play, oak less so. 12.8% alc. This is quintessentially new Yarra Valley chardonnay. It is all about drawing complexity from the fruit with winemaking firmly to the rear; citrus and whitefleshed stone fruit flavours, mineral edges and crisp acidity. Perfect for light and zingy seafood dishes, it’s a great wine to spring into summer drinking.
