Hand-picked, whole-bunch pressed, partial wild fermentation in French oak, (33% new), matured for 8 months. This comes from the Upper Hunter Valley, making its provenance doubly surprising – almost all those of great quality have come from the Lower Hunter. It is medium-bodied, and has had no problem absorbing its French oak, the flavours classic. 13% alc.

VIGNERONS Brett and Linda Keeping How do you approach the production of this wine?

From the outstanding 2017 vintage, this fruit absolutely shone in the vineyard. Grapes were 20 per cent whole-bunch pressed, then fermented in new and one-year old French puncheons, giving an intriguing tapestry of complex subtle toasty oak nuances, combined with exquisite melon fruit. A delicious, modern chardonnay sourced from our 30-year-old single vineyard block in the upper reaches of the Hunter Valley.
