2017 Chalari Frankland River Riesling

Hand-picked, made in small (2-tonne) batches. Immediately on entering the mouth, there is the tactile quality I call squeaky or slippery – it’s appealing, and I’d like to know what causes it. The wine has good varietal expression, with a mix of lime and Meyer lemon. While its cellaring capacity is not in doubt, there’s plenty to enjoy tonight. 12.7% alc.
