2015 Kalleske Johann Georg Old Vine Single Vineyard Barossa Valley Shiraz

Shares the bright colour of Eduard, but both the bouquet and palate move onto another dimension of complexity and power. Don’t be alarmed, the wine is a very good example of ancestor vine shiraz (planted 1875) that has been given its head in the winery. It has a full-bodied palate, augmented it’s true, by abundant ripe tannins, but they will settle down quickly, leaving the blackberry and plum fruit free room to play in. 14.5% alc.
