From vines planted ’82, only released as a single varietal in outstanding vintages, matured in used hogsheads for 15 months. Well, this certainly meets the Leconfield criteria for release. It has fragrance, verging on perfume, on the bouquet, the mediumbodied palate with juicy red and purple berry fruits, the tannins positively silky.
