2017 Bunnamagoo Estate Riesling

While Mudgee isn’t generally associated with riesling, there were some good wines made from time to time by Ian MacRae prior to Jacob Stein gaining national recognition, and Bunnamagoo Estate winemaker Robert Black shows the early successes weren’t flukes.

This is a very good wine. It has the intensity of riesling grown in a cool climate, with lime, lemon and green apple flavours supported by grainy/minerally acidity. 11% alc.
