2017 Yarra Yering Light Dry Red Pinot Shiraz

50% pinot noir/50% shiraz, the pinot noir whole-berry fermented, hand-plunged and basket-pressed, the shiraz 100% whole-bunch fermented, left untouched for 3 weeks with some light foot-stomping before pressing, matured for 9 months then blended. Brilliant hue; it’s wholly remarkable how the flavours and aromas of these two very different wines flow sinuously into each other, red fruits the epicentre of a wine that has launched a thousand ships. Its balance is perfect, the length prodigious, the texture... Well, just taste it. 13.5% alc.
