2016 Ben Murray Marananga Barossa Valley Shiraz

Vines 20-70yo, hand-picked, destemmed, wild yeast open-fermented with 10% whole bunches, 18 days on skins, matured in 90% used French/10% new American oak for 18 months. A full-bodied shiraz with an elegant twist here and there. It doesn’t back off, but it’s strongly arguable that it doesn’t need to. This is part of the DNA of Barossa Valley shiraz – take it or leave it. 14.5% alc.
