Hand-picked, destemmed, fermented with 3% whole-bunch viognier, 10 days on skins, matured in French barriques (40% new) for 16 months. Has retained good hue; the Perth Hills is a warm region, so the amount of spice and liquorice woven through the black fruits and plum are doubly surprising, and appealing. 14.5% alc.
