2016 Fetherston Vintners Yarra Valley Shiraz
Hand-picked, wild yeast open-fermented with 20% whole bunches, 30 days on skins, matured in French oak (13% new) for 12 months. Good crimson hue; the bouquet and fore-palate are in a black berry spectrum, offset on the back palate by a savoury/spicy/ brambly coat, part fruit, part tannin-derived. Well made, and will develop well from this point on. 14.5% alc.
