2016 Wicks Estate Adelaide Hills Shiraz

-

Multiple clones open-fermented separately, 14-17 days on skins, matured for 12 months in French oak (20% new). Deep, bright crimsonpurple; the Adelaide Hills has nothing to prove about the suitability of most districts to produce elegant, medium-bodied shiraz that welcome French oak, but can live without it. Spice, pepper and liquorice all play hide and seek within the lithe frame of the wine. This really is a wonderful drink at $25. 14.5% alc.
