In­cred­i­ble lift with notes of rose­hip and blue­ber­ries, cou­pled with an en­tic­ing scent of star anise. Red­cur­rant and plum flavours are sup­ported by pow­der-fine tan­nins and in­te­grated oak.

What do you be­lieve de­fines your style of caber­net?

Se­duc­tive ripeness yet per­fect poise. For me, this is the ul­ti­mate ex­pres­sion of caber­net from Deep Woods. Crafted from our old­est vines, this ex­cep­tion­ally lowyield­ing fruit has a style unique to Mar­garet River; el­e­gant and re­fined, yet vi­brant, al­lur­ing and com­plex.

What are your favourite food matches for this wine?

Great caber­net for me re­quires an amaz­ing piece of meat. Dry-aged rib­eye, nicely crusted from the bar­be­cue, hand­cut chips, rocket salad and a date with my wife to help me share it. Oh, and hot English mus­tard of course.
