2018 Dune Pyla

The vineyard is planted to negroamaro, nero d’Avola, grenache, mourvedre, montepulciano and carignan. Somehow this band of varieties is persuaded to ripen at the same time, and hence are co-fermented in a wax-lined concrete fermenter. It’s as complex as its blend suggests, with red, blue and purple flavours, and persistent tannins. 13.5% alc.
